One outstanding employer is set to be honoured at the upcoming Business Excellence Awards Essex.

An accolade which honours the top employers within the region, the eventual recipient of the ‘Employer of the Year’ award will have showcased a dedication to their employees including investing in their welfare through schemes such as bonuses and training.

Presenting the award on the night is Futures For You who are market leaders in career support. Understanding that finding the right career path can be complicated, Futures For You provide advice and guidance, helping people achieve the necessary qualifications required for their dream job.

Tom Hay, Head of Operations at Futures For You, explained their sponsorship: “As Prime Contractor for the National Careers Service in Essex, our mission at Futures for You is to support local people to access employment and training opportunities, to improve their lives and to make a positive contribution to the local economy.

“We have come on board as a category sponsor as we are keen to recognise businesses who are committed to developing their staff and who champion older workers.”

Nominations for this year’s awards close on 14 June, and this is when Futures For You will start the judging process for their category. When making the decision Tom believes a willingness to progress their work force will be key.

He added: “Futures For You expect the winners of this category to demonstrate a commitment to the training and upskilling their workforce. also, evidence of recruitment, retention and development of older workers (50+).”

This year’s Business Excellence Awards Essex takes place on Thursday 26 September at Essex Cricket Club in what is set to be a glittering ceremony.
