The Business Excellence Awards Essex takes place next month and as the excitement builds another of the event’s headline sponsors is greatly anticipating the showpiece occasion.
Invest ESSEX, who is committed to showing companies why the region is a great place to start or grow a business, joins Thomas International, James Hallam and London Stansted Airport as Headline Sponsors of the event.
Invest ESSEX is a specialist business support agency, helping companies to relocate or expand in Essex. It is delivered by the Let’s Do Business Group and is jointly funded by Essex County Council (ECC) and the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). David Rooke is the Location Services Director at Invest ESSEX and explained the decision behind carrying on their sponsorship of the event in 2019.
“We have a strong commitment and desire to see the business community succeed whilst in the process making a positive contribution to the local economy” he said. “The Business Excellence Awards Essex is a fantastic way to celebrate and highlight this
With Invest ESSEX’s main objective centred around supporting the regional business community, David explained how events such as the Business Excellence Awards Essex help champion comradery between businesses.
“All winners will be boosted significantly through recognition in the Business Excellence Awards Essex,” he added. “Such events also provide an opportunity for businesses to be inspired by like-minded people with similar aspirations.”
Companies of all sizes and from across a number of sectors will be acknowledged during a glittering awards ceremony which will unfold at the Five Lakes Resort near Colchester on Thursday 26 September.
With such a diverse range of businesses set to be in attendance – including sponsors and their chosen finalists – David expanded more on why Essex’s business community is so special.
“With the nature of our work, Invest ESSEX is in a very strong position to gauge the strength of business within the county,” he said.
“It gives us great pleasure when an entrepreneur, SME or larger company benefits from the services we are able to provide, in order to develop their business in the process. Essex’s proximity to London makes it part of one of the most important business regions for the future of the UK.”
Nominations for the awards have closed and it is now up to the category sponsors to decide on the three shortlisted finalists and eventual winner.
