On Tuesday 30 April, exclusive sponsors for The Business Excellence Awards Essex gathered for a sumptuous networking breakfast at Five Lakes, Colchester to commemorate the upcoming ceremony.
The Business Excellence Awards Essex aim to celebrate success, recognise achievement and highlight the innovative people and companies throughout Essex who are putting their region on the map by boosting the economy while making a positive contribution to the local community.
The Five Lakes Resort is one of the best hotels in the region for both business and leisure. With over 320 acres of surrounding parkland, the venue is ideal for catered meeting and events. With 18 flexible meeting rooms, the spaces can easily cater for all manner of corporate needs.
This year’s awards will be organised by leading brand agency, Champions (UK) plc and their Group Sales Director David Simms was on hand to provide a welcome speech alongside Five Lakes’ Charles Morgan.
The latter was keen to express how the venue is pleased to be supporting recognition of local business, saying: “Five Lakes Resort are delighted to be hosting the sponsors breakfast for the Business Excellence Awards Essex 2019.”
He continued “These awards are, without doubt, the region’s most prestigious honours and are always keenly contested by a diverse range of companies. They are a worthy recognition for outstanding businesses and we’re incredibly proud to be a key sponsor.”
The ceremony itself will take place on Thursday 26 September 2019 at Essex Cricket Club, Chelmsford and will be another fantastic opportunity to grow contacts and network, uniting the local business community in a positive manner.
Hosted by Denise Van Outen and TV comedian Mark Dolan, the night will see the region’s best businesses go head-to-head across 16 different categories.
As well as providing the opportunity to shine a spotlight on business success, the awards also raise much needed money for charity. This year the official charity of the awards is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, The Lord’s Taverners.
A game of stand-up bingo and a silent auction will take place on the night with all money raised going to the charity.
