One of the world’s most prestigious airlines, Emirates has come on board as event partners of the upcoming Business Excellence Awards Essex. The airline has recently announced a second daily flight from Dubai to the nearby London Stansted airport making their sponsorship of this year’s awards extremely timely.
The Business Excellence Awards Essex takes place on Thursday 26 September at Five Lakes Resort and will bring together the most successful members of Essex’s business community.
Graham Pepe is the Corporate Sales Manger of Emirates UK and explained why they made the decision to support the awards.
“We see a great deal of value in engaging with local Essex businesses as we hope to support their travel needs by connecting them to Dubai and beyond,” he said.
“The Business Excellence Awards Essex 2019 is a great platform for not only recognising business talent, but also learning more about businesses in the area.
“After launching our route from Stansted to Dubai in June 2018, it has become even more important for us to create new partnerships in Essex.”
These awards celebrate businesses in a number of sectors and of all sizes and Mr Pepe went on to discuss what is required to succeed in business.
“It is important to have a sense of purpose. Our President, Sir Tim Clark has defined us as ‘a business with a big conscience’ We don’t just want our customers to fly better, we also want to do better for the planet and be good corporate citizens. This purpose is a big part of what not only makes us successful, but also sustainable.
“We have done this by planning for the longevity of our business, building strong partnerships, listening to our customers and making smart changes. Decide that you want to build a lasting legacy - not just a business.”
With 16 categories up for grabs on the night, guests will be welcomed with a Champagne reception upon arrival before the night’s celebrations get underway. Overseeing proceedings will be comedian Mark Dolan and TV personality Denise van Outen. Entertainment on the night will be provided by The Voice finalists Belle Voci.
The night will also provide the chance for much needed funds to be raised for a deserving cause. The UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, the Lord’s Taverners have been announced as official charity partners of the awards. They support disadvantaged and disabled young people across the country with a range of initiatives.
A game of stand-up bingo and silent auction will take place with all proceeds going to the foundation.
